Keep your Coaching Ticket Current

April 8, 2026

The National Coaching Ticket is a must have for all Coaches, make sure you have a current ticket today!

Whether you’re stepping into coaching for the first time or you’ve been around the game for years, the National Coaching Ticket is there to support you as much as it supports your players.

At its heart, the coaching ticket isn’t about checking boxes. It’s about making sure coaches feel connected, supported, and confident in their role—no matter where they’re coaching or how much experience they have.

Your ticket is valid for 2 years, so it might be time to complete it for the first time, or renew it!

What is the National Coaching Ticket?

The National Coaching Ticket is your formal recognition as a coach. It’s free, online, and for anyone involved in coaching.

It shows that you:

  • Are part of the national coaching community
  • Have access to coaching support, resources and learning
  • Understand key expectations around safety, wellbeing and good coaching practice

Why does it matter?

Coaching is rewarding—but it also comes with responsibility. The National Coaching Ticket helps make sure coaches aren’t left on their own when things feel challenging or unclear.

A current ticket means:

  • You know where to go for help when questions come up
  • You understand what good practice looks like for player safety and wellbeing
  • You’re supported to create positive, inclusive coaching environments
  • Clubs, schools and parents can trust that coaches are informed and connected

It helps protect players—and it helps protect you as a coach.

It also gives coaches a voice. As part of holding a coaching ticket, coaches share information about:

  • Where and who they coach
  • What they feel confident with
  • What they’d like more help or support around

This helps build a clearer picture of what coaches actually need, so the support available stays practical, relevant, and based on real coaching experiences.

Why does the ticket need renewing?

The coaching ticket needs to be renewed every few years so it reflects what’s happening now—not what was happening several seasons ago.

Renewal helps:

  • Keep safety and wellbeing guidance current
  • Ensure coaches stay connected to available support
  • Reflect how coaching roles and environments change over time
