The International Federation of Hockey (FIH) are the international governing body for Hockey.
The FIH Academy is the global centre for hockey education powered by the FIH. Established in 2014 with the long term mission to unite all global efforts in hockey education provision.
The FIH Academy provides support for Athletes, Coaches, Umpires, Officials, Executive, and Events. The Coaching Courses are competency-based to provide an internationally consistent assessment for all coaches and all courses. This allows coaches to receive an internationally recognised Coaching accreditation.
The FIH Courses go from Level 1 through to Level 6 and are integrated into the Hockey New Zealand National Coach Development Programmes. This allows coaches to access on-going learning opportunities through the National Programmes, and then have the choice to engage in assessment based FIH Academy Courses to receive a coaching accreditation.
