NATIONAL COACHING TICKET

This National Online Coaching Course is essentially your Warrant of Fitness for Coaching. It is FREE and a MUST have for all coaches.


The National Coaching Ticket covers the essential information coaches need to understand how to conduct their role to keep themselves and their players safe, discover all the current resources, and provide insights to support the future direction of coaching in New Zealand. All Coaches are encouraged to have a current Coaching Ticket, and may be required to by the organisation they are coaching for.

  • Who is it for and what is the cost

    This National Coaching Ticket is designed for ALL Coaches from National Coaches to New Coaches. 


    It is a MUST have for ALL Coaches.


    It is abosolutely FREE.

  • How do I access the Coaching Ticket

    The Coaching Ticket is an online course available on the Online Learning portal. 


    The Online Learning portal is FREE to access and includes other free online courses including the National Coach Development Programmes.


    Click on the blue button on the top right hand side of the page to register for the Online Portal and access the National Coaching Ticket. If you already have an Online Learning portal account, you will find the Coaching Ticket on your dashboard when you login.

  • What's involved and how long will it take

    The course takes approximately 30 minutes and involves five short sharp lessons. 


    The lessons are:

    - About the Course: Everything you need to know about the Coaching Ticket

    - Coaching Insights: Your opportunity to help shape the future of coach development

    - Managing the Dangers of Hockey: How to keep you and your players safe

    - Reminders and Tips for Coaching Young People: Critical information for coaching young people

    - Available Resources: Information on where to find the current resources to support your coaching


    You can take as long as you like to complete the course, and can revisit the course after you have completed it. 

  • Why should I get my Coaching Ticket

    The National Coaching Ticket is a National Certificate that is acknowledged when applying for Coaching roles in New Zealand.


    The Coaching Ticket will:

    - Connect you with current resources to keep you up to date with the latest information 

    - Provide valuable insights to help shape the future of coaching

    - Give you the confidence to fulfil your role and provide a great experience for our players


  • Will I receive an accreditation

    Yes - on completion of the course you will receive a National Coaching Ticket Certificate, a Nationally recognised certificate you can provide you school, club, association, Hockey New Zealand or any organisation you are coaching for. 


    This certificate will be valid for two years.
