Hockey NZ Trainer Programme

October 5, 2021

An experienced and diverse team of ten have been selected for the 2021-22 Hockey NZ Trainer Programme

Hockey NZ received a strong response to the Trainer Programme.

The Trainer Programme is a 12 month programme bringing together individuals to work together in supporting Hockey NZ to grow the coaching system and to support the coaching of coaches, the Developer Programme. The Trainer Programme provides a key layer in building support networks to grow coaching.

The programme will utilize a combination of residential workshops and online meetings to enable peer to peer learning as well as providing valuable support to the Hockey NZ Coaching team. The first residential will be held this year.

The Trainer team offers an exciting diversity of knowledge, experience and skills. This includes experience from tertiary and school environments, Association and FIH experience as well as Officiating, Masters and Indoor knowledge.

Hockey NZ congratulates the following individuals on the selection to the Trainer Programme and looks forward to working with them across the next 12 months to enhance the coaching system.
