Congratulations to our newly accredited FIH Trainer and Educators following engagement in the FIH courses alongside the Oceania Cup
The FIH Academy is the Education & Development home of the International Hockey Federation. The Academy includes support for Coaches, Umpires, Officials, and Executive. The education courses involve assessment against standardised competencies, providing the opportunity for individuals to obtain an internationally recognised qualification.
The executive arm of education captures the Train the Trainer approach, growing capability of Developers, Educators, and Trainers. This aligns with the Hockey New Zealand and Sport New Zealand approach, to grow networks of capable people to be able to support the development of others. The FIH Trainer and Educator roles, are specifically designed to support the delivery of FIH Courses.
As part of the suite of FIH Courses ran alongside the Oceania Cup earlier this year, eight individuals from New Zealand were assessed for the FIH Trainer and Educator Accreditation. This involved engagement in theory and practical learning environments, as well as hands on delivery of FIH Level One and Level Two Coaching courses and Hockey NZ Umpire Coach and Umpire Courses.
Congratulations to the following individuals for their accreditation and acknowledgement of the investment they have made in growing their knowledge, skills, and experience to become FIH Trainer and Educators.
