Balanced Female Health
NEW Resource for Coaches and any adult supporting young people and females in sport
Sport NZ recognises that female-specific needs in community sport are unique. As coaches, parents, instructors and administrators, understanding female health is critical to being able to respond and provide support for young people to be active in ways that boost their wellbeing.
Developed by health professionals working in the sport sector, the new Balanced Female Health resource provides information and practical tips on topics such as changes throughout female puberty, the menstrual cycle, and factors that impact young people’s physical and mental wellbeing.
Hockey New Zealand would like to thank and acknowledge Sport NZ, Netball New Zealand and Netball Smart with funding from ACC, to be able to develop and share this resource.
