Are you Season Ready?

Check out Sport New Zealand's article about being #seasonready here

Sport New Zealand have launched an exciting campaign to support the return to winter sports.

The heart and soul of community sport is our people, the volunteers who give their time to make our sport run and create positive environments for people to engage in sport.

To support our volunteers, Sport New Zealand has created a wide range of resources, through a 6 week campaign #seasonready. Volunteers including coaches, will have access to support to assist in their role in providing a great experience for our players.

Sport NZ #seasonready connects volunteers with:

  • Information about the Balance is Better philosophy and how to create positive experiences for all young people in sport

  • General help and advice to support your coaching journey

  • Tips on preventing conflict and creating a positive culture across sport, plus the knowledge to know what to do if complaints arise

  • Learning modules on safeguarding and protecting children and young people, including identifying the signs of potential neglect and knowing what to do about it

  • Resources to create a system without prejudice, so that young people can play in a welcoming and inclusive environment

Make sure you follow Sport NZ on Facebook and Instagram, and if you're yet to do so, register for free to the Balance is Better website for current articles and their newsletter.
