Sport NZ are continuing their webinar series, it's free and there is something for everyone!

Don’t miss out on the September webinar series where industry experts will share tips for coaches, administrators and parents on how they can make a real difference for all young people in sport across Aotearoa.

Scroll down for details on each webinar, including how to register.

Webinar 1: Getting Child Safeguarding Right

Sat 11 Sep

How can you create a safe, fair and inclusive environment for young people in sport?

With everyone doing their part during COVID-19 to keep Aotearoa safe, it’s a good time to think about how this can be extended to youth sport to create positive experiences for tamariki to keep them engaged in sport and activity as they grow.

To close out NZ Child Protection Week, we’ll be joined by special guests Ruth Browning from Safeguarding Children and Badminton NZ CEO, Joe Hitchcock, to look at how you and your club can focus on child protection and create a safe environment. If you’re a coach, administrator or parent who will be interacting with tamariki, this is not one to miss!

Webinar 3: The art and science of coaching young women

Tue 21 Sep

Are you coaching a young women’s team this season? It’s widely known that a ‘one size fits all’ coaching approach isn’t the best for player development. What do you need to know as a coach to make sure you create a great environment for young women to grow in their sport once we’re back in action?

Join Sport NZ and special guests, Sharon Kearney from Netball NZ and physiotherapist Kylie Cox, for this special webinar focused on what coaches need to know from a bio-physical standpoint to support the development of adolescent females this season.
